OUR REGISTRATION - CLIC SARGENT DAY IS SATURDAY 11TH JULY 2009, AT THE GROUND IN DUMPTON PARK DRIVE, THIS YEAR. WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE FUN ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS TO JOIN IN FROM 10.00 AM UNTIL 4.00PM. MEMBERS CAN COME UP DURING THE DAY WITH THEIR REGISTRATION FORMS AND PHOTOS (FROM A PHOTO BOOTH) AND CAN SPEND THE REST OF THE TIME WITH WET SPONGES FOR THE MANAGERS WHO WILL BE IN THE STOCKS. KICK AGAINST THE GORILLA IN A PENALTY SHOOT OUT. SPONSORED PENALTY SHOOT OUT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CLIC SARGENT AND HOPEFULLY MANY OTHER STALLS YOU CAN ALL ENJOY.
WE ARE NOW TO UNDERTAKE MASSIVE GROUND WORK AT THE HOME GROUND ESPECIALLY THE FULL SIZE PITCH.
IT WILL MEAN THE FULL PITCH WILL BE OUT OF PLAY FOR AT LEAST 8 WEEKS, WHICH WILL TAKE US UP TO THE START OF THE SEASON.
OBVIOIUSLY LOTS OF WATER ON THE PITCH WOULD HELP ALSO, BUT DONT WANT IT TO RAIN TOO MUCH FOR EVERYONE.
Hugin Vikings under 10s again did the Club proud, when they took on the best in Kent at the Sittingbourne Lions tournament in Faversham. After coming runners up in their group stages they beat Long Lane in the semi-finals , only to lose in the final on penalties to South Park. There were fine performances from Ryan Lewis, Ben Pledger, Harvey Adsett van Walwyk, Tom Perriam, Sam Chivilo, Jack Field, Sam Percival, Charlie James and Oliver Harris.

Hugin Vikings under 10s did Thanet proud when they went to Butlins Bognor Regis Festival of Football Weekend. There were 14 teams in their group from all over the Country and they played superbly and consistently to make it to the final, where they dominated most of the match only to miss out on victory by 1-0 defeat. They were awarded their runner up trophies by no less than Peter Shilton and the whole team were awarded goal of the Tournament scored by Charlie James. An excellent team effort on their first ever Festival of Football Weekend. Hugin Vikings Football Club are seeking more players for their next seasons Under 9's Vikings Squad. The Squad will be registered to play in the Molten East Kent Youth Football League and will play their League matches on a Saturday. WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A PIECE OF LAND FOR A COUPLE OF PITCHES , ALSO, AS IT IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND PITCHES FOR TRAINING AND MATCHES NOW THAT THE CLUB IS SO BIG. WHAT WOULD BE NICE WOULD BE OUR OWN ALL WEATHER SITE WITH FLOODLIGHTS WHERE YOU CAN ALL TRAIN AND SAVE THE MONEY WE ARE HAVING TO SPEND OUT WITH THE WINTER TRAINING.
IF THERE ARE ANY LIKELY TRAINERS OUT THERE WILLING TO COME ON BOARD TO HELP OUT FOR AN HOUR A WEEK WITH A SQUAD AT A TRAINING SESSION AND TO HELP OUT EITHER ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY WHEN THE SQUAD PLAY THEIR MATCHES, PLEASE, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH MAUREEN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
